Fitness isn’t
all about building muscle—flexibility, stretching and good muscle
definition are just as important. A programme that stretches and lengthens
your muscles will improve the overall muscle shape, which can be very useful
if you’re already in a programme that involves a proportion of resistance
exercises.
Stretching exercises are also very relaxing, and can be very
therapeutic if you’re recovering from an injury, or building up after having
a baby. It’s important to understand that stretching needs to be
approached carefully, so we would probably recommend a gradual programme
to avoid the possibility of injury. |
